What is PlanStream and who is it for?
PlanStream is an AI-powered planning application platform built for planning consultants, architects, and developers. It streamlines evidence gathering, validation, and submission preparation using AI to significantly reduce analysis time, drafting effort, administrative work, and errors.
How does the AI/ML help with applications?
Our models analyse local planning policy, previous applications, validation checklists, and your own documents to flag likely issues, suggest missing information, and automatically structure planning statements. You remain fully in control, the AI provides drafts and checks that you can review, edit, and approve.
Which authorities and forms are supported?
We support standard UK planning application types and validation requirements across most Local Planning Authorities (LPAs). Coverage is expanding continuously. If your authority has unique requirements, you can add custom validation checklists and templates.
How accurate are the AI suggestions?
AI outputs are designed as high-quality starting points, not a replacement for professional judgement. We provide source references, confidence indicators, and full change tracking so you can review everything before submission.
Will you train on our project data?
By default, your private project data is not used to train global AI models. You can opt in to organisation-only learning to improve suggestions for your own team. For more information, please contact our support team.
Is our data secure and compliant?
Yes. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and we are compliant with the UK GDPR data protection legislation. You control data retention and can delete projects at any time.
Can we collaborate with clients and consultants?
Absolutely. You can invite stakeholders with role-based access, comment directly on documents, assign tasks with due dates, and track all changes through a full audit log.
Can we export and submit outside PlanStream?
Yes. You can export structured submission bundles (forms, plans, statements) as PDFs or ZIP files, as well as machine-readable data where supported. These can be used for planning portal uploads or internal record-keeping.
